That was the paid attendance for my hometown Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday. A new record!! Yeah, it was against the Devil Rays, and the Orioles traded away their big name players over the summer, and the Nationals just opened up a new stadium... but ten thousand people? Yikes.
UPDATE: I'm going to have to keep an eye on this, but it may be that, for the Orioles, attendence is inversely correlated with winning... as the only game they've lost this season was attended by 46,807 people. With a sample size of 5 games that's pretty much a stick-a-fork-in-it Q.E.D type thing, right?
